nobody knows where they might end up

liz and I decided to get out of dodge this afternoon and head over to the blacksheep inn to check out Great Lake Swimmers, which sounds like it's probably a whole lot of people, but it's really just one guy who sometimes has a band, sometimes doesn't.

I'd never before been to a matinee show at the blacksheep, but it was excellent. two full sets, a drive to the country in daytime. The music was great - I've been a fan of Great Lake Swimmers for a while now, but you just never know if you'll like a live act more than you liked (or loved) their last album. But, I was impressed.

The blacksheep is fun, and cute, and totally the perfect live music venue. Screw big concert halls. They won't have signs like these:
