you could hear a pin drop

wow. It's been quiet around here lately. I've been busy. Forgive me, internet, for not keeping you up to speed.

Things have been nuts. Work has been busy, life has been busier.

Last week, I went back to school, and started swimming again. School rocks. Our first official class was tonight and it involved putting together different configurations of keyboards and monitors and powerbooks and using cubase to play back sound. It was great to be putting cables everywhere and actually doing something with our hands - university is usually to hands-off-sit-and-listen-to-talking that it's a welcome change.

There are also cool people in my class - friendly folks, who like to chat, and want to get the most out of this class. Music rocks my socks.

Max is away tonight. He had a vet check this afternoon for an immunization, a check on his nasty kitty cold, and has been diagnosed with a parasite called coccidia. This means he'll be on medication for a bit, and also that he had to stay back at the shelter overnight due to the wait for medication. Makes me sad to think that he's sitting in his little crate with no fuzzy-red-sweater to snuggle him. I should have sent it along, but, I had assumed he would be home tonight to snuggle into it himself. It's funny how quickly we got used to having him around.

I bought him a harness yesterday so that he could go outside with the grownups, and I was expecting something along the lines of Pica, who WRITHES IN DISPLEASURE when you put it on her because OH MY GOD it's uncomfortable and how could you make her so uncomfortable and would you please get this icky thing off my back? Instead Max is all like, huh, I guess you put something on me, did you? Ooh a lead! I'm going to chase it! Much comical tangling around chairs ensues.

Anyhow, I should go do some work no, but really, more updates later.
